Dear Friends of Annunciation Radio
As the Episcopal Advisor of Annunciation Radio I am happy to greet everyone assembled at this evening’s banquet for the benefit of this important work.
I continue to be encouraged by the efforts of Annunciation Radio, which are made possible thanks to the generosity of so many volunteers and friends like yourselves, who support Catholic radio programming in our diocese both spiritually and financially.
In a 2008 address to over a hundred representatives of Catholic radio from around the world gathered in Rome, Pope Benedict said: “Through their broadcasts, Catholic radio stations make it possible for their listeners to open their hearts to Christ. The words that you broadcast each day are an echo of that eternal Word which became flesh.”
In our turbulent world of social messaging, online news, digital billboards and television, voicemail and email, we are bombarded with information 24 hours a day. Amid all these “voices,” Catholic radio is vital for making known the truth of the “Good News,” the message of redemption and life in the body of Christ, his Church. Through Catholic radio countless people hear the Lord calling the world to conversion, faith, holiness, hope, and love for God and neighbor.
I offer my very best wishes, and above all my prayers, for the growth of Annunciation Radio, and for God’s blessing upon all who support it. Inline article positioning by Inline Module. |
